DCWV Insta fun Mini for Valentine's Day

Hello !

I'm pretty busy these remodeling my house (attic for my scraproom for example) and garden, having my husband at home (he's often aboard), trying to squeeze week end in the mountain between all of it... but I did manage to create something in advance for Valentine's Day with the Insta Photo Fun line of DCWV. It's a mini album. I made it in a snap, using a black mini in 4x4 (you could find it at JoAnn's), with the 4x4 insert pages and the wedding theme pages and cards :

I decorate the album with adhesive scalloped border by May Arts Ribbons, a heart locker charm by Blue Moon Beads , flowers and leaves by I Am Roses. I use a red Copic narker to color the bead and a gray one for the leaves (originally white).

A sneak peek at the inside:

You can let the insert pages as they are and just add your photos to it, and that's what I did for the other pages, but for the front page I decided to decorate it a little bit with a white May Arts ribbon and small punched hearts made with leftover red glitter paper.

Now I will dig into my old wedding pictures to find the perfect one for my Valentine's gift...

What will you do as Valentine's gift ? I still have cards to make, so stay tune for more...

I used a lot of different products in this layout :
- Recollections paper
- K&Company paper
- Jolee's Artisan blue paper
- white cardstock
- washi tape by Recollections
- Grungeboard by Tim Holtz (Aussies, you can find some here)

- white gel pen
- "Celebrate with flourish" die by Sizzix

Feeling sketchy inspiration post : a doily circle

What is a doily circle ? Not sure myself, but I didn't find another word to describe the embellishment I created for my last layout.
In case you wonder how I did it, I made a video tutorial I did share on the Feeling Sketchy blog as my inspiration post. I used the Martha Stewart circle punch and a doily min Lucky8 punch by We R Memory Keepers.

Have fun playing with your tools !

January Scrap-Lifting challenge

Happy New Year again !

We have a new challenge for you on this New Year's first day on the Scrap-Lifting blog ! Take a look at the layout made by Ninel I had to lift...

It was a little bit difficult for me to get into this kind of shabby style, and even if I kept the sketch and the techniques, the result is very different :

I use Recollections papers, grungeboard flourishes and distress inks by Tim Holtz, I Am roses flowers, Martha Stewart mold and clay, even a Winston mold, stencils and stamp by Prima Marketing, glimmer mists by Tattered Angels (Black Magic, Barn Red) with modeling paste (Liquitex), Inkadinkado stamp with Antiquities white embossing powder by Ranger, and laces found at Hobby Lobby.

Stop by the Scrap-Lifting blog to see the great layouts made by our team and try to lift the page, there is a prize to be won !

January Feeling Sketchy challenge

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL !

Let's start 2015 with a new card challenge from the Feeling Sketchy blog ! Here is the sketch :

I kept few element of the sketch to build my card : the scallop circle became a hollow of a circle, and the banner became ray of bling...

I used a dark gray card by DCWV (so dark it looks like black), and a jeweled sheet by DCWV, plus Making Memories glitter alpha stickers for the sentiment.

I wish you the best for this new year !
See you soon...
