Altered bottle with Art Anthology paints and Finnabair wax

Hello !

It's my turn to post on the Art Anthology blog today, and I created a super cute project with a... soy sauce bottle !
Yes, my project is an altered soy sauce bottle... Why not ?

I used new AA stencils, Colorations spray, Velvet dimensional medium and Stone Effects medium to alter the bottle.
The embellishments were covered with black gesso and Finnabair Opal Magic Wax in green brocade and blue velvet (Prima Marketing).

If you want to see more detailed pictures or watch the tutorial, go the Art Anthology blog, or to my YouTube channel.

Thank you for your time, I hope to see you very soon for another altered project...

Thank You card with layered stamps by Altenew and Precision Press

Hello !

I'm sure you know the beautiful layered stamps manufactured by Altenew ? I had a hard time layering them until I decided to purchase a stamp press. I had a great deal on the Precision Press (We R Memory Keepers) and it change my stamping life !
No more "I missed an ink spot" image ! And the layering is now so easy !

Look at the card I created today with these tools :

Beside the Precision Press and the Altenew stamps, I used Colorbox inks, DCWV papers ans a yellow Souffle pen by Sakura..

Want to know how I created it ? Here is a tutorial video for you !

Thank you for stopping by. It really make my heart blossom to see all these visitors on my posts !
I create for me, but I'm sharing for you !

Have a nice day and see you soon...

Mother layout for the MTW challenge

Hello !

I hope you had a great week end, with your mother or as a mother, and you had time to craft too...
It wasn't Mother day in France(will happen soon), but I was inspired by all the crafting I saw for this day in the US, so I decided to create a layout with a picture of my mother (which is a rare thing to find, she doesn't like to be pictured...).
I also was inspired by the More Than Words main challenge : Mother and Flowers !

The papers I used came from an old collection of My Mind's Eye, The sweetest thing.
For the background, I work with three different stencils by The Crafter's workshop (chickenwire reversed, Art is, and mini tile) and three different mediums : gold crackle paste (Prima Marketing), pink ink (Colorbox), and black soot distress ink (Ranger).

I also add Advantus tissue tape by Tim Holtz and washi tape (MME) and a cross stamp by Prima Marketing.
Flowers are fussy cut from one of the papers.

For the final touch, I outlined the washi tapes with a black and a pink Artist pen by Faber-Castell, and add the title made with Webster's pages alpha stickers.

I really was a great week end, I hope the week will be as good !
Have a nice Monday, see you soon...

Gorjuss girl 16th birthday card

Hello !

Yesterday was the 16th birthday of my oldest daughter (!) and I had to create a card for her, as I did last year...
I choose a Gorjuss girl stamp (The Gateway, DoCrafts), she looks so cute and fierce at the same time !
For the cuteness, I also choose the Meet me in Paris paper stack by DCWV, it's a perfect match with the powdered pink and the vintage map of Paris.
The girl and the horse were colored with Copic markers. Do you know how I create the horse's hairs ? With gray N0 and N2 and yellow (Y00) !

Now why the ride ? Because in France she can now drive. But I prefer the sweet (and safe) ride behind her... Ok, I'm the only one smiling at this joke...

I hope you like this sweet card. I will enter this card into few challenges :

Take it, Make it challenge from Craft Stamper magazine : Anything goes stamping challenge

Simon Monday challenge : theme is "it's a frame up"

MFT card challenges for the nice color board :

Thank you for your time. Have a wonderful day and see you soon !

Mixed Media Art Journal Spread with Art Anthology

Hello !

I'm on the Art Anthology blog today with a new mixed media project : an art journal spread !
I'm in need of sun and warmth and its reflects in this pages spread...

Lots of inks, paints and stencils by Art Anthology, and some Inkadinkado, Deep Red and Heidi Swapp stamps to complete the project. You will find the video tutorial on the Art Anthology blog. Please visit my YouTube channel too for more tutorials... And find more of my Art Journal pages here.

Now about the theme of this art journal spread... I helped my daughter with one of her literature home work, about happiness and way to obtain it. The main idea of 17th century philosophers was humanity always looks above to reach another level of satisfaction despite what is already at hand. I think it's only part true. One of the important thing to be happy in life is to have and make choices. Taking actions, decisions, imagine what you want and act accordingly is part of happiness. It's not always about having something more. It's also about keeping what you have.

So imagine your life. Be aware of what you already have. And change what you don't like.

You can now go back to your life, the philosophy class is over ! Thank you for your time, and see you soon for another project !

Beach mixed media frame for the Make it Prima May challenge

Hello !

I hope you had a crafty week end and a lot of fun with the NSD ! I've been crafty myself, enough to fiish a project made for the May Make it Prima challenge... Few things inspired me in their mood board : yellow and blue, the navy stripes, the Julie Nutting doll stamp, and the flowers !
And I came up with... a mixed media photo frame :

I started by covering the cardboard frame with blue paint (Reef Velvet dimensional paint by Art Anthology), stripes of French Riviera paper (Prima Marketing) and a mix of white gesso with Texture Powder (Prima Marketing). It gave to the frame a sandy beach look.

I dived into my stash to find these old flowers by Prima Marketing. With few touches of the mix gesso-powder, they looked covered with sand too.

As you can see, I used some IOD moulds too... They are painted with Art Anthology dimensional paint (Reef for the tag, Portobello and Mardi gras for the flowers).

This is the Julie Nutting doll stamp Betsy. Outfit is painted with the same color than the frame and tag (Reef).
Don't forget the fussy cut shells from the French Riviera papers...

Thank you for stopping by today ! Keep the good scrappy juice flow, you don't have to stop being creative because the week end is over...
See you soon (like tomorrow...) for another project...

Mixed media black and copper mask

Hello crafters !

Sometimes I created for a challenge, an event, or for a DT project. And sometimes I created just for me. The project I will present you today is like that, result of joy to create without limits.
It's a masquerade mask, created from a papier mache/cardboard form, black gesso, lots of embellishments and copper paint :

The Spring light made the paint appear more gold but it is really painted with Copper metallic paint by Prima Marketing. Glass beads and microbeads in copper too (Prima Marketing too).

I use IOD mold with air dry clay to create lots of the embellishments, but you could also find metal flowers and butterflies, papers flowers, a black lace and a beads string painted in copper too.

Love, love, love the result ! Very different from the previous mask I made in turquoise...
I think I should propose this project for a workshop... Would you come in a class with me to create this project ?

Thank you for reading this post, I hope you liked what you saw and you will come back soon for another project...

Have a great day !
